What
makes mda unique?
Most training providers come from a training
background and deliver standard courses that are identical for
every client, with presenters trained to replicate that standard
with little or no flexibility in delivery.
OUR APPROACH IS DIFFERENT - we come from a multinational business
background and are committed to helping you solve a business
problem.
mda's programs are business-based, not training-based. Kingsley
Smith was a businessman -- and the CEO of major multinational
companies in a number of countries -- before moving into
the management development field. He is able to understand the
needs of the organization from the CEO's perspective as much
as from an HR/training perspective.
All mda's programmes were originated
by Kingsley Smith.
Because mda's programmes are original,
they can be tailored and combined to deliver the specific outcomes
you require. You are not locked into a formula which takes no
account of the people you are developing, nor of your corporate
culture, nor of the variations in country-to-country culture
that a multinational has to address.
Our business background enables us to understand your business
problems. We can then tailor a programme that will help solve
these problems by imparting specific skills for the specific
group of participants you select. We are not just interested
in simply delivering an "off the shelf" workshop.

Kingsley Smith
Kingsley Smith
has spent his career in industries that create and sell
business-building ideas - mainly to large, multinational
corporations, operating on a regional basis. Much of the
last twenty years has been spent in CEO positions. In
May 1994, he decided to realise a long-held ambition -
the establishment of his own management development company,
Management Development Asia-Pacific mda
initially based in Hong Kong.
Prior to the establishment of mda, Kingsley started his
career in market research, with A. C. Nielsen Company
and then worked in advertising agencies - mainly in senior
management roles - in Tokyo, Toronto, New York, Mexico
City, Sydney Brisbane and Hong Kong. His last role was
as Chairman of McCann Erickson Hong Kong. |

In the advertising and marketing parts of his career,
Kingsley worked in many markets - in Europe, Asia Pacific
and North America - with clients such as Unilever, Procter
& Gamble, Coca Cola and Cathay Pacific. He launched
and re-launched brands, managed established brands,
was involved in numerous new business pitches, and worked
in product categories from airlines to detergents, furniture
to cognac, cosmetics to stationery.

does mdas methodology help you personally?
This
methodology enables us to ensure that the workshop content
is tailored as precisely as possible to fulfil your
business needs of and those of the individuals who will
participate.
This
tailoring may include combining aspects of our range
of programmes - or exploring completely new areas. Most
of our programmes were developed for clients who asked
our help to deal with a particular issue.
As
